The former RBI ruler Urjit Patel has been appointed CEO of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a period of three years.

“The Cabinet Committee in the Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of Dr. Orgit Patel, the economic and former Indian Reserve Governor of the Executive Director (ED) at the International Monetary Fund, for a period of three years from the date of assuming responsibility for the position, or even other orders, that is, what it was previously,”

This is not the first Pattel date in the International Monetary Fund. He was in a state of retreat from the International Monetary Fund to RBI during 1996-1997, during which he advised the development of the debt market, banking sector reforms, the reform of pension funds and the development of the foreign exchange market.

Patel assumed the charge as the twenty -fourth ruler of RBI in 2016, and before he had held the position of Deputy Governor since 2013.

His period of work as RBI president was distinguished by large political measures, including the implementation of inflation targeting framework. Soon after he took charge in September, Satan was executed. He also supervised the administration of the controversial devil.

Dr. Patel has a PhD in Economics from Yale University, a master’s degree from Oxford University and BSC from the University of London.
