Hundreds gathered in the Portuguese city of Gondomar on Saturday to mourning the loss of football players, Dugo Jota and his younger brother Andre Silva, who died in a car accident earlier this week.

The joint funeral ceremonies were held in the EGREGA MTRES, the local church in its hometown, with a combination of a football community, and united in their love for the husband.

Jota, 28, and Silva, 25, was placed to rest along a few days after a fatal crash occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning in Zamura, Spain.

According to what was reported, the two were on their way to arrest a phrase to England before the Liverpool schedule before the season, where Gota recently underwent a simple surgery and advised doctors not to fly.

The accident came just 11 days after Gota married his partner for a long time, Rue Cardoso. The couple had three children together. He left the timing of the tragedy fans and loved ones.

Emotional scenes were revealed at the funeral, where prominent figures from the football world attended the service.

Players, friends and family were presented to the church in silence while the bell was hurting. Among them, one of the umbrellas held a remarkable with an image of Andre Silva, carrying the message “Semper UM de NOS”- “forever from us.”

Abroad, they are unable to find space inside the crowded church, hugging dozens of mourners each other, wearing many shirts representing local and international clubs.

Jota, who is known for his uncompromising energy on the field, has become a beloved character in Liverpool and throughout Portuguese football.

Just three months ago, Gota was celebrating the Premier League title with Liverpool.
