Ford Motor is car on the road within two months.

The esteemed car maker has moved its headquarters for the first time in seven decades, as it moves to a newly created building three miles (five kilometers) in his home for a long time in Dearborn, Michigan.

A new structure will be called 2.1 million square feet (195,096 square meters) officially “Ford World headquarters” when it opens in November. It is part of the largest campus that will take the name of the current headquarters center: Henry Ford II World Center. Henry Ford II was the grandson of the company’s founder Henry Ford and Uncle Bill Ford, the current CEO of the auto industry.

The current Ford headquarters, is located in 1 America RD. In Dearburn called “The Glass House”, it opened in 1956. At that time, Ford said it is one of the largest office buildings in the country operated by one company.

“When we move to the new headquarters, the title of 1 American RD will continue, because we will continue to develop products for the next century,” said Ford’s heritage and brand director, Ted Ryan.

The glass house will be demolished. According to Ford, the company expects to complete its transition from the building in the first half of 2026. External demolition will start in 2027.

The new headquarters is from five to 10 minutes and is designed to enhance cooperation and innovation by leading joint companies with design and engineering teams. It puts 14,000 employees within 15 minutes on foot from the main building.

It will include six design studios, a dining hall with an area of 160,000 square feet (14864 square meters) that can be accessed for all Ford employees, wellness rooms, mothers ’spaces, and 300 meeting rooms that support technology.

General Motors is also located in the midst of the headquarters step, leaving its iconic house along the Detroit River for a new office building in downtown Detroit.

“To attract the best talents, you have to give them interesting problems to work on and great places to work,” said Bill Ford. “We feel that they have interesting things to work on, but we didn’t have great places to work, and now we do. It is a talent magnet.”

The new home home base is located at the previous product development center. When it was dedicated in 1953, President Dwight Eisenhower joined the celebration directly through one of the first closed TV uses.

Some of the most famous American vehicles were born there, including Mustang, Thunderbird and F-Series trucks.

Ryan said under the outstanding glass home: “Derborn and Ford are almost synonymous. If you are thinking about Dearborn, you are thinking about Ford, and if you are thinking about Ford, you are thinking about Dearborn.”

He said: “Henry Ford was born just a few miles from the headquarters where we are sitting now … There were many members of the Ford family, while they were seeing the Blue Blue with” Ford “on the side of the building, and they really walk to their family’s home.”

Soon, they will walk and thousands of others to a completely new house.
