“For us, the market is not the challenge, we need people”: the Antrain magazine on the lack of talents in India

In Business Toys India@100 Summit on Friday, Anshuman, Chairman and CEO of India, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa in CBRE, highlighted the decisive challenge facing Indian companies: a lack of skilled talent.

“The workforce in India is its oil, but it needs refining,” she said, stressing that although the market capabilities are enormous, the real obstacle is to find the right people to push growth.

He pointed out that the next 25 years belong to India, where a few countries have been developed to maintain this long -term growth. However, despite millions of unemployed individuals, companies are struggling to find a skilled talent when employment.

“On one party, we have a huge unemployment; on the other hand, we do not get people who have the right skills,” the magazine clarified. “We have millions of people, but when we go out to recruit, the talent is not present.”

To meet the advanced requirements of the changing rapid market, stressed the need for revolutionary changes in skills and education. “We really need to do something – whether it is a skill, education or anything it requires – to meet the demand.”

He also said, “For us, the market is not the challenge. We need people.”

Speaking about the story of India’s growth, the magazine said: “The whole world needs our economy and our country for consumption. In fact, there is no other country with this type of population, and this is true. But if you really look from the other side, our per capita income is very low. Therefore, the perception of huge consumption and a huge market only is partially valid.

“Until the per capita income, which is about 2000 dollars per person, remains very important. If this is 10,000 dollars per person, I do not think that anyone will dare to put the customs tariffs on us or try to bully us – this is simple like that.

“If you look at different countries, when China moved from being an emerging economy to move towards an advanced situation, there was a threshold ranging from 3000 to 3000 dollars per person.

Speaking of Indian companies and their capabilities, Amit Gosan, MD of Kone Elevator India, said that innovation is one of the areas in which India excels. “Take my industry, the elevator sector, for example.
