Finn Delap Interview: Ibn Rururi and Liam’s brother visit his career career in League One Side Burton

His father Rorrei played more than 350 times in the Premier League and got a place of worship for his long brutal throws.

His brother Liam came through the ranks in Man City and was the bright light of Epsutwich in 2024/25, who got a transfer to Chelsea in the summer.

Now the Finn Delap is a name for itself in Sky Bet EFL with Burton.

He was born in Winchster while his father was playing with Southampton, the central defender – who grew up with the frightening Dio Madrid Sergio Ramos and Baby – began in Derby after the family moved when Rorrei signed Stoke.

His brother, two years old, also, but they played in the same team only once.

“He was in a tournament when I was 12, 13 years old and he was 14 or 15 years old,” Dilab recalls.

“We both played in the middle of MID and I never wanted to play with him again after that. It didn’t end well! We have always said that the best that could happen is to face each other.

“It will be always competing when we play head tennis or we will shoot in the garden, but there will be a spark for it. There has always been someone kicking someone!”

Several children of the former football players followed their father’s footsteps. In recent years, there appears to be a new face with a familiar title that regularly explodes to the scene.

The natural question to be asked is whether they feel the expectation of expectation as a result.

“People have put there that my father had a profession, my brother is making a profession and I cannot let them down,” says Dilab.

“At the end of the day, my father always said, if we didn’t want to play football, we did not want to play football. It was the decision of everyone who William I wanted to.

The Finnish was released by Derby in the summer of 2021 and then joined Burton – where his father finished his career eight years ago – in a scholarship.

“This had the biggest influence on me and I am very grateful. I jumped directly and loved every minute,” he says.

“I learned a lot of lessons in playing in the league that I hadn’t had played in the youth teams. It was all about winning. It was not like,” Oh, you played well, but you lost. “You should win.

“I was playing with (five times England U19) Kiran Venton at the back. I looked at him a lot. He was a good player and took me under his wing and taught me lessons about football and also about life.

“The collection that we had there was incredible. Jimmy Ward was the manager, Leroy Lita was playing at the forefront. Lee Tomlin and Chris Augradi were also there. We had many experienced professionals who were there and did that I could learn from him.”

After that, Dilab spent the first half of 2023/24 in the same section with Michaelofer, and shortly after his return, Martin Patterson handed him his first professional appearance when he brought him as an alternative to his 2-1 victory over Bristol Rovers in Sky House.

He added, “He is the largest teacher who has been sustained so far.” “It is like a dream became true.”

He played the last seconds in Leyton Orient next week, then returned on loan, this time to Woking in the National League, and started 2024/25 on loan in Buxton in the Northern National League.

When he returned to Berton after Christmas last year, Gary Boir was the man responsible at Berili Stadium. DELAP included the following 18 league teams and gave it a race in the first team with five games in the last six.

This faith played a major role in signing a new two -year contract in the summer.

“The former director (Mark Robinson) still saw me as a small one who needs experience and when the bid came now, he said he wanted me here and wanted me to fight for a place.

“He saw the experience I had, but he also wanted to build my experience here, instead of being on loan.

“Knowing that this year he would be huge for me. I had a good tour at the end of the season and talking to him during the summer period, and he was very keen to stay. There was no other decision for me after that chat.

“I have a good relationship with Gaffer, and perhaps the best relationship with a manager so far.”

Currently, the DELAP – who says he loves to be on the ball, loves to do “old school defense if there is a need to do it” – focuses on the nomination of a regular starting point under BowYer.

Things are going well in this regard – playing 90 minutes in the 1-0 victory over the favorite Cardiff title on September 30 will not be caused by no harm.

But he is inspired by the rise of his brother.

“I am very proud of him. The way he will come, by moving from Derby to Man City, so that she has loans in the championship and others do not work, to be in the position he is today.”
