In the summer of 2021, Netflix launched the ambitious “Street Street” three With charming results. Its headquarters (loosely) on the Ya Horror series by “Goosebumps” Maestro RL STINE, the three films were the sanctuaries that attract those of us who grew up chasing the horror department of the video store for “Friday 13” the original “screaming”. Under the supervision of director Lee Janek, who also participated in writing films, the three “Fear Street” films, “FEAR Street: 1978”, and “Fear Street: 1666”, weaved the sprawling and detailed myths in the imaginary town of Shadyside, where bad things occur on a regular basis.

The three films were smart and enjoyable, and presented us with a group of beloved characters. More than that, leave the field for more. Netflix was set to return to Shadyside for additional tales of terrorism. However, it took an extraordinary broadcast service to return to “Street Street”. Unfortunately, after we were in Shadyside again, the results are completely disappointing. There is no innovative energy offered in the previous three films visible in “Fear Street: Prom Queen”, which is mostly wrong, so that it even throws abundant amounts of blood.

“Fear Street: Prom Queen” is mentioned some of the triple trilogy (especially the slaughter of the summer camp that was seen in “Fear Street: 1978”), but then moves to telling her independent story, ignoring the curse of Sarah Fair, which was very necessary for the three. This is good. However, the “Queen of the Dance Path” is removed so far from what happened before it feels like a supplement to the name only. Of course, there is a lot of precedents for this, especially in this type of terror (see just to A completely strange franchise “Hilraizer”). But I enjoyed a lot of the original trilogy, and I only had a little fun here, to the point that I could only think that there is something wrong.

Perhaps things have succeeded better if Janek returned to me. Instead, Palmer will put this input (Palmer also participated in writing the script, with Donald McLeri), and the cheap flat appearance of the film does not prefer it. This movie is not only bad, but it is Appear Bad, as if production had only a budget for shooting in one fixed place. This is a sharp contradiction with the previous three films, which I felt greatly great.

Fear Street: The Queen of the Dance Path heads to the eighties

In “Prom Queen”, in 1988, Shadyside High students prepare a dance party. We learn that there are many candidates who call the desired prize for the Queen of the Dancer. The apparent shoe is the rich girl Tiffany Falonner (in Vienna Starsa), which has a full group of girls also Hoping to be a queen.

Then there is WildCard, Lori Granger (India Fowler). Lori is somewhat pariah in Shadeside, mostly due to the fact that Town’s gossip has long accused Lori’s mother of killing her father (and moving away from the crime). Lori incomprehensible believes that if she wins the crown of the queen of the dancing party, all her social and financial problems will be solved, which I think is the type of confused logic that works when you are a teenager stuck in a clogged city.

While Fowler is working well with what she presented here, Laurie is unfortunately the cute and not interested girl. There is not a lot of this character, except for the fact that she is the best friend with horror -loving Megan (Susanna Sun), who loves to make blood pillars and spend all cases of spending free time in Vangeoria. It is somewhat implicit that Megan has a great crush on Laurie, but the movie does not seem really interested in exploring it. Moreover, Laurie has its own crushing, on Tyler (David Eyono), who coincides with Tiffany’s friend – although it is clear that the high school strength couple does not really like each other.

There is a lot of blood, but not enough to make the queen of the dancing party interesting

The “Queen of the party” is rushing during its rapid operation, as we dropped at the dance party almost immediately as the convincing killer begins to shock the teenagers one century after another, and works on his way (or for it) although the candidates of the Queen of the Dancer and their friends have an ugly results. If the “Prom Queen” has one thing, this is not ashamed of bloody killing, and the majority of them appear to be accomplished with practical makeup effects instead of digital Gure without weight. But after a period of time, so that he begins to lose his magic.

Not helping matters is a severe fading text that fails to inject anything from essence. “The Queen of the Concert” is not funny no Fear, it seems that it was certain that at least an attempt to try to be one of those things if not both. At one time, the bitter enemies Lori and Tivani are involved in a dance in the midst of the dance party, where a moment was shot and implemented so badly that I am not sure of the ultimate goal. Who do I think this was a good idea?

As a large cheerful for the original trilogyI was waiting (and hope) for “Fear Street: Prom Queen” to win me. However, the film is still without life, not even talented people like Lily Taylor and Catherine Waterston (huge sporting hair in the 1980s) who can save such disappointing issue. After the original “Fear Street” trilogy, I was back to return to Shadyside. It was not worth waiting.
