Nethin Kamath, co -founder of Zerodha, draws attention to a few health crisis in India that you want to talk about, which affects millions, spreads silently, and is still buried under the stigma.
In a post on X, Kamat looked at a warning about what he called a seriously neglected health issue: sexual health. “The only type of health we are not talking about is sexual health – for clear reasons. But the numbers are scary,” he wrote.
Data supports his concern. The male infertility now represents 50 % of infertility cases in India – a major transformation of traditional assumptions. One in ten Indian men suffer from erectile dysfunction, with 40 % of cases in men under the age of 40
The most important: India has one of the highest infections in the world, especially among the young population and migrants who face deep health care barriers.
Kamat connects the growing healthy burden with foods, water, air and lifestyles. “We have realized that the health issues between the Indians have increased and will continue to increase,” he wrote.
In response, Zeroud has funded about 40 emerging companies that focus on the patient’s capital. Two of them – Allo Health and Bold Care – now focus on transforming how India understands and treats sexual health.
“The conversation on sexual health must change,” Kamath confirmed. His step aims to address the dual burden of stigma and not reaching millions of suffering in silence.
