Facial recognition AI is flawed and racially biased. The police continue to use it in any form.

UK police have been trialling the use of facial recognition technology on live surveillance video in public places, as seen in this image. In the United States, police departments are also adopting this technology despite evidence that these systems are racially biased and unreliable, in some cases leading to wrongful arrests.
