Exxaro to acquire the assets of manganese in South Africa for $ 637 million

Exxaro Resources has signed binding agreements to obtain shares and demands in the assets of the Mengenis owned by NTSIMBINTLE HOLDINGS and om Holdings in South Africa for a price of 11.67 billion Rand (637.1 million dollars).

The assets are located in the KMF field (KMF) in the Northern Cape Province.

The deal includes a 74 % stake in NTSIMBINTLE mining, a 19.99 % stake in Jupiter, along with a 100 % interest in NTSIMBINTELE marketing, 51 % in Mokala and 9 % in Hotazel ​​Manganese mines.

The deal is likely to increase to 14.64 billion Rand if Blue Falcon, who owns 49 % of the Mokala mines, exercises rights along the rights.

EXXARO’s acquisition gives four operating mines, including 60.1 % effective ownership in the rights of Tshipi Borwa, which is a 51 % stake in Mokala and a 9 % stake in Hotazel ​​Manganese mines.

The transaction is subject to organizational approvals, with the expected date of completion in the first quarter of 2026.
