Eurovision to vote on Israeli participation in November Music news

Many countries demanded that Israel exclude because of its actions in Gaza, and threatened to leak from the competition.

Eurovision Song competition will vote for Israel’s participation in the 2026 competition in November.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which supervises the event, confirmed the plan on Friday. The international demands of Israel were excluded from the competition because of the country’s actions in Gaza.

A spokesman for the Board of Directors, an umbrella organization for public broadcasters who run the event, told members that the vote will be held at an extraordinary general meeting held online in early November.
