Eric Dan promised “the fighting to the last breathing” in his battle with Als while talking to legislators in Washington, DC last week.
“The ALS is the last thing they want to diagnose for anyone,” said MP Eric Sawalwell, 52, in a video posted by Tiktook.

Als is “nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord,” according to the May clinic.
It causes loss of muscle control as well as breathing and eating problems and can cause dementia.

When I announced his diagnosis, Dan said: “I was diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful for my love family to my side while we move this next chapter. I feel lucky because I am able to continue working and I look forward to returning to a group of“ Euphoria ”next week. I hope to give my family and my life during this time.”

Since then, he opened more about his condition, and told Diane Sawyer, “I don’t think this is the end of my story. I don’t feel this is the end of me.”

He revealed in the interview that his daughter saved him when he was swimming in the ocean after his diagnosis and realized that he could no longer stay on his feet in the water.
“When I jumped in the ocean that day and realized that I could not swim (or) generate enough power to return myself to the boat, I thought,” Oh God. “Then I realized at that moment that I am not safe in water anymore.”
He explained: “I have One work arm. My dominant side. The left side works, my right side has completely stopped working. I feel that I may be a few other months, and I will not get my left hand either. It is realistic. “
