Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis will make his debut at 154 against an upset Uisma Lima at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The 12-round fight is a WBA junior middleweight world title eliminator to determine the mandatory challenger for champion Abbas Barao. This is not the fight Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) is targeting. If he wins tonight, he wants the popular champions, Sebastian Fundora or Virgil Ortiz Jr., next.

Start time and loop walk tonight

8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT for the main card. Approximate main event times for Ennis vs. Lima: 10:30 PM ET / 7:30 PM PT.

The complete undercard lineup

Dennis Thompson vs. Shawn Diaz
Harley Medeiros vs. Hylon Williams Jr.
Justin Palmieri vs. Naeem Parker

Former IBF and WBA welterweight champion Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) recently vacated both his titles this year when he decided to move up to junior middleweight.

What’s at stake: A WBA title shot

The winner of tonight’s Ennis vs. Lima match will have a guaranteed shot at the title against champion Abbas Barao. Again, this is not the direction Boots plans to go. But for Lima, this is a fight he could take if he wins tonight. Naturally, he will almost certainly be offered a rematch with Ennis as well.

Fans criticized “Boots” from the beginning over his decision to use Lima as a rising opponent instead of a known, more powerful opponent. For some people, Ennis’s career seems to be based on fighting easy fights, building a record, and making money without showing any real ambition to take on the best. They expect more from the nine-year-old professional fighter who will soon turn 29.

Ennis’s final form

Imantas Stanionis-W-RTD 6
Karen Chokhadjian – W-UD 12
David Avanesian – W-RTD 5
Villa Rimen – W-is 10
Costeo Clayton – W-KO 2

“Boots’ sixth-round knockout of WBA welterweight champion Stanionis earlier this year on April 12 was impressive, and showed just how good he is against a baseball player coming up. This was a much better performance for Ennis compared to his wins over Choukhodjian, Villa and David Avanesyan.

The final lemma form

Shirvantay Koopman – W-TKO 9
Sukhdeep Singh Bhatti – W-UD 12
Haro Matevosyan – W-RD 10
Araik Marutjan – W-UD 8
Aaron McKenna – L-UD 10
