England retained the European U21 championship after holding it to overcome Germany 3-2 after an additional time in the final that controls Bratislava.

The Young Lions won the championship in 2023 by beating 1-0 against Spain in Georgia and followed in Bratislava, shy only two years later, with the repetition of the feat achieved by the nation in 1982 and 1984.

Al-Nasr came just 10 days after Li Carsley lost 2-1 in the same match during the group stages of the tournament.

There was hardly a moment to breathe all the time. Harvey Elliot and Ummari Hachinson set England 2-0 within 25 minutes, but was 2-2 immediately after the hour, with goals from Nelson Weber and Paul Nabil eventually sending the game to an additional time.

At the end of 90 minutes – and again with the last extra kick – Germany hit Antonio de Salvo.

But the victory was closed in the first minutes of the extra 30, with Jonathan Row’s third touch as a alternative to the luxury Tyler Morton Cross to achieve a historic victory.

Elliot lit a semi -finals on Wednesday against the Netherlands, and scored the two goals that won the progress of England – and before the match had really moved, the fifth of the championship was looted, and he ended a step that he started with drilling in the lower right corner.

The young lions were already full of confidence, but the early goal took this to a degree and began to cut the Germans who opened at the will.

With 24 minutes around the clock, added again. Sublima Link -OP Play allowed Elliott and James Mcatee to the latter to stick to two men and find Hutchinson, which hit Noah Atubolu’s legs – and celebrated with a brand.

Waking up a wake up to England was delivered at a time when they lost Alex Scott due to the injury. NEBEL was given time to lift the cross from the left that found hibernation that, under slight pressure, planted the head of the past bullet James Beleys.

Germany found the advanced edge that they were lacking in the first half in the second. England has begun to bear the costs of space, not more when they drew the level. Nipple corner, who could have chosen his place under small pressure, fell with the unfortunate Jay Stanfield touch that helps a great blow on the line.

At the end of the second half, which receded and flowing in the true sense of this phrase, the same man won. Nabil’s shot from the edge of the square hit the Brock Norton Kofi shoe and it seems that the time is still standing as he sought toward the upper corner, then the cannon to the crossbar.

Elliott and Mcatee were pulled with spasm in moments before the extra time – and within seconds of his introduction, Ro wrote in history books with an invaluable touch.

“This will be satisfactory like 2023”

Sky Sports’ Adam Bate in Brick Pole:

“What a victory, what a achievement. England raised this cup two years ago without giving up a goal, but this will be satisfied with the same way because it came through the setbacks to win again.

“Many impressive offers, which are evident from the fact that six alternatives appeared in the final and 3 of them combined for the winning goal.

“Remember that England has passed 39 years without winning this championship. They have now kept it. The quality and depth of young talents are great and in Lee Karsley have a coach who gave them the platform for prosperity.”

Jonathan Row from England scores his third goal during the UC-21 football match between England and Germany at the National Football Stadium in Bratislava, Slovakia, on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Jonathan Row speaks to Channel 4:

“Everyone is exceptional. From the moment I entered the camp, I can tell everyone the same mentality; we all wanted to win.

“We did it now – the mission is finally over and we can all celebrate!

“I came to the game with the mentality of doing anything I can to help the team. I hadn’t started, but I knew, at some point, on the bench, we will have to come, make a difference and help the team pushing it over the line.

“I am very happy because we were able to do this in front of some important people tonight.”

Carsley: The challenge now is to win it again in two years!

Boss England Lee Carsley speaks to Channel 4:

“I am really proud of the players. The commitment they have shown over the past 28 days, all the instructions that we tried to put in it very quickly, they took it on board and have a lot of faith.

“I talked about it when we were in the garden of St. George, and that this team believes they can win and this is the type of players we need.

“I am very happy for them. To be European champions for the second time is a big achievement and the challenge now is to do this again in two years.

“It is important to have a Chandi or two tonights!

“What setback we had, and the players just met. I said at the beginning of the championship, the longer the duration of it, the better we play.

“I didn’t think we played wonderfully tonight. I thought we might have sat very deep and we had not a lot of control as I wanted, but I may not remember it in two days.

“I will try to enjoy tonight. It’s important. I love my job, I am very proud of the job I do, I love working with the players.

“I had the opportunity with the oldest team and I love it, so the best thing I can do is help the path and try to help the first team.”

Ian Foster, the former U -20 director of England, believes that Lee Carsley could be in the minds of the Premier League clubs looking for a new manager next season after his team under 21 years of victory over Germany in the euro final.

Previous in England U18, U19, U20 Ian Foster coach on Sky SPORTS News:

“I can’t do anything anymore. It will be interesting now to know what and if the offers are on his way, and what he wants to do about it.

“I am sure that football managers up and down in the country will look at my achievements during the past few years and wonder whether the next man who comes.

“I think it would be great for English football if he takes a job in the Premier League and shows everyone what he can do.

“But, at the present time, he will be very proud of his achievements and he is right.”
