More importantly, there is no indication of the battery life in the application. Like Eleg 7, Elego 8 claims 16 hours of operation (in addition to another 224 hours of charging in a slightly larger load), but there is no way to know where you approach the battery empty. The good news is that it is difficult to exhaust 16 hours of operation at once. In my test, I couldn’t completely drain the battery by leaving aid outside overnight.

I complained (twice before) about the ELEGO’s rock training system, which uses ultrasound signals from your phone to communicate with hearing devices instead of wireless technology such as Bluetooth. It maintains very small hearing devices because it does not need a Bluetooth radio to work. Eleg is not unique in using this technique, but its implementation remains, even after years in the market.
The training sessions took nearly half an hour because the hearing devices were absent from a large part of the ultrasound signals, causing their failure to send a tone to my ears when they should have. This is a big problem, because there is nothing that says if you cannot hear the tone because you are going deaf or because the hearing devices have failed to record the sign correctly. I found training more frustrated than ever this time.
The same technology is also used to control AIDS via application orders. Although it is not a big deal if a change in the sound level is missed and you have to send the request again, it is still pain (especially if one assistance gets hearing, signal and the other). This also means that you cannot use this aid to broadcast on Bluetooth, which is a bigger problem today than ever. At this point, it is time for ENEG to explore something more reliable, even if it means selling a larger device.
Units support dual vertebrae on the ear, but only to switch between the three environmental programs that you can choose in the application. The taps were reliably registered in my test, although I did not notice a big difference between different styles.
Aid is very comfortable, partly due to its very light weight, although Elego’s ear tips are slightly on the itching side. After a few hours of corrosion, I always had to remove it to give my ear a time to recover. (It is strange that there are only three pairs of ear: small, medium and large, with open openings.)
AIDS 8 tools are not cheap, and now runs $ 2,699 per pair. (the The cost of AIDS EARGO 7 is now 2,399 dollars) While Eargo products have always been expensive, approximately $ 3000 demands puts this aid in the medical prescription pricing area, which is difficult to justify. AEVGO 8 Aids remains excellent in sound quality, the small size is perfect, but the upgrades here are not simply enough to dispense this type of price, given the surplus of excellent competitors available for the status available for a lower.
