Ukraine President Voludmir Zelinski said on Thursday that eight people were killed in Kiev, including a child, after a heavy Russian bombing overnight.
Interior Minister Ih Klainico said in a telegram that the dead included two children, while the mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko said that at least 38 people were injured in the “huge” drone and missiles.
In a statement issued by X, Zelensky said that Kremlin chose “projectiles instead of the negotiating table”, and repeated the need for “difficult new sanctions” on Russia.
The missile wave comes after it left more than 100,000 Ukrainian homes without strength by Russian drone attacks on the energy infrastructure on Wednesday.
In a post on Telegram, Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Military Department, said that one of the children who were killed was a 14 -year -old girl. At least five children were injured in the latest drone strikes.
