“Everything that exists for me to win, I want to win, and I will do anything I can win in the Premier League.”
Eberechi Eze’s words are cheerful that just enjoyed a better season. A winning goal in the FA Cup final in Down Manchester City and won the Crystal Palace his first great honor in the date of 163 years, his appetite only raised for more.
May 17, 2025 was an occasion he had already played in his head throughout his childhood. So although it is important, it was not a shock.
“I was dreaming of playing this level and doing such things when I was young, so I saw it happening in my head for years.
“For me, it is just a manifestation of something in my mind, something I pray for.
“Maybe I am not surprised like anyone else, but I am of course grateful to God that I have the opportunity to be in this situation.
“To be able to do this and bring the cup to the south of London, this is the biggest thing, which is something that the club had never had before – a cup. To be part of the team that did so, I had almost no words.”
In many ways, the EZE path to the wembley trimph is evidence that the pursuit of success is not a written line. Eze’s trip is the trip that started rejection at an early age, as Arsenal, Fulham and Millwall allowed leaving before reaching the age of eighteen.
But now in Palace, he withdraws the strings that have not been withdrawn for the club, writes himself to folklore and stands on the shoulders of the giants, who were unable to achieve what he and his teammates in the team.
“You are looking at the players who played in this club; the main players who were part of the institution to be just the Premier League and maintain this situation.
“I understand that not only we felt and won a cup, and there was a lot that went to this matter and a lot that happened in advance and allowed this to be possible.
“It is a gratitude and thanks to us to be in this situation, and we are the one who raises it but also a deep appreciation of everything that went before us. Everyone went before us, all the things that were done – this is just part of the trip.”
The man who is credited with combining everything from the top is Oliver Glasner, whom Iz believes can provide more for the palace.
“He is a big coach, a better man, there are certain things that certainly come,” said Eas.
“He is intense and is convinced of what he believes in, he knows what he wants from his players, from his team.
“I feel that this appears in the way we were playing in particular at the end of the season. How the form we chose, the treatment, and this is what he leads, and this is what he understands.
England President Thomas Tuchil was attended to watch Eas Wembley championships. In March, in the second match by Tuchel, responsible for the national team, EZE scored its first goal in England, which added to the headache that the German president suffers when it comes to choosing his team. Competition for places is something that adds to EZE before the World Cup next year.
“Being in the England band is always the goal. You want to become the basic pillar of the team, you want to win your position on the team, and this is something I am trying to do every day. Of course, there is a lot of competition.
“Many different players to choose from the manager, so it is not necessarily an easy job, but all I can do is to continue playing football, continue to do what I do, and continue to enjoy football and try not to focus on that much.
“I can only influence what I am doing now, so I trust that if I do what I am doing now, this will take care of himself.
“I am very excited (around England), I enjoy football now, I feel good. I have some injuries and a strange start in this season, the strange middle part of the season as well, so that I can be in this situation now and feel freedom and the ability to express myself completely, and that’s all I want to do.
“I believe in myself, as long as I can do that, then I always trust I have a chance.”
So what after the best season? For EZE – more than the same:
“I just want to enjoy, express, entertain, and bring love to people in the stands when they watch me play and win.”
