The attractiveness of places on the campus and the “Dream Job”, which has long been around it around the leading institutes in India in cracking. Despite the brand name of the pioneering institute, thousands of students graduate without offers at hand, raising questions about the real value of the elite degrees in the job market today.

In a publication on X (previously Twitter), Ca Nitin Kaushik wrote, “The ugly truth about the location of the campus in the upper colleges of India. She still lives in the” IIT-IIM = Dream Job “bubble?

Light numbers

According to Kushik, the placement statistics this year were realistic:

  • In all ITS 23, approximately 38 % of students are still unlucky – that is, more than 8000 graduates still hunting jobs.
  • In IIT DELHI, only 61 % of jobs were secured, leaving 738 students in Lurch.
  • In IIT Bombay, while rumors claimed that 36 % was not developed, the official data shows about 6.1 % still without jobs – with the stability of many offers less than $ 6 annually.
  • At Iim Kashipur, allegations indicate that students are forced to “cancel the subscription” from the places to protect the institute’s success rate.
  • In Iim Vizag, 1 in 6 students (59 candidates) still are unloved.

Why the employment crisis?

Kaushik points to a mixture of international and local factors:

  • The continuous technological winter with it and consulting companies cut employment.
  • Emerging companies freezing budgets, stopping campus offers.
  • A global slowdown that prompted companies to be cautious spending.
  • Excessive IITS and IIM without demanding in the labor market.
  • Perhaps the most degree – the grades no longer guarantee skills. Employers argue, as they argue, that they are looking for an investment return, not only the brand signs.

The harsh truth and the road forward

“The IIT/IIM sign is no longer your ticket to success anymore,” Kushik warned. Instead, he urged students to control their career:

  • Upskill in artificial intelligence, data analysis, financing, and product management.
  • Stop dependent only on the location cells. Instead, build a personal brand.
  • Focus on the impact of the CV, training, and projects.
  • Side crowding and real work experience can emerge more than theory.

His final observation was frank: “Even the brightest students in India are struggling in 2025. If you are not safe, what makes you think that you do not care about fear. This is your call to wake up to stop glorify university brands and start investing in you-your skills, mind, hustle.”
