Draftings is said to have started discussions for the Railbird Market exchange.
After submitting the betting giant and then withdrawing a request to register “Draftkings” with the National Futures Association, it appears that the company has decided on another road to enter the prediction market space.
As I mentioned initially before Front office sportDraftings are currently talking about a potential deal to take over the startup -known as the emerging platform as Railbird exchange. It is a newly dedicated contract market (DCM), where CFTC has just obtained a CFTC certificate.
It was established in 2021 by former financial analysts, Miles Safran and Edward Tian, Railbird has not yet been launched, but the press statement confirms his approval on CFTC that “it is expected to open for trading later this year.”
If the acquisition is achieved, Draftkings will become the first main sports books operator that ventures to the emerging prediction markets industry.
This will not be a surprise in view of the company’s early efforts to launch its own platform, but through the broader industry, there is an increasing indication that sports books and prediction markets will approach together in the coming months.
Vanduel has already held talks with the prominent prediction market like ShiAlthough a decision has not been reached.

One of the main attractions of major companies is that sports books are organized on the basis of each case separately, compared to the federal licensing system that is associated with predictive platforms.
This opens the capabilities of the new markets and growth opportunities in huge states such as California and Texas, as it currently prohibits legal sports books.
