Dozens of Palestinians were killed or injured on Monday, when desperate crowds headed towards food distribution points and air parcels in the Gaza Strip, according to the local witnesses and officials.
The Israeli blockade and the military attack made almost impossible to provide assistance safely, which contributes to the region’s segment towards famine for nearly 22 months in the war with Hamas. Relief groups say that Israel’s measures, which lasted for a week to allow more assistance, are far from enough. The families of the hostages in Gaza affect the hunger that affect them as well, but blame Hamas.
Several hundreds of Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since May while they were heading towards food distribution sites and aid aid, according to witnesses, local health officials and the United Nations Office for Human Rights. The army says it only launched warning shots and find losses.
With the international alarm installation, many countries got the help of Jaza in Gaza, including Canada. The United Nations and relief groups call such expensive and dangerous declines for residents and say it provides much lower assistance than trucks.
Many food parcels that were dropped by air were launched to the Mediterranean or landed in the so -called red areas that the Israeli army ordered people to evacuate. Either way, Palestinians risk their lives to obtain flour and other basic commodities.
A plane from several countries – including for the first time a Canadian armed forces plane – has made humanitarian aid in Gaza on Monday in an attempt to alleviate the hunger crisis in the Palestinian territories. Susan Ormeston reports, senior correspondents at CBC, from a Jordanian military plane.
On Monday, the Palestinians chanted while the parachute platforms were exposed to Zuwaida in the center of Gaza. Associated Press shots showed a desperate stampede when the parcels hit the Earth, as hundreds of people are racing towards them. The fighting and some men who were practicing the hills erupted.
“I hope they will deliver it through the crossings (the land),” Raba Raba said earlier while waiting for Airdrop. “This is inhuman.”
At least one piece fell on a tent in which the displaced were owned, which resulted in a man who was taken to hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
At least 16 people were killed late on Sunday near the Israel -controlled Zikim crossing, the main entry point for assistance to northern Gaza, according to the records of the Shiva Hospital in Gaza City, which showed that more than 130 people were injured.

The circumstances were not immediately clear, but the crossing witnessed many fires in the last days when witnesses and health officials blame the Israeli forces. There was no immediate comment from the army.
At least 10 people were killed, while thousands of assistance trucks waited for the Morge Corridor, which carved the Israeli army between the southern cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah.
Muhammad al -Massari, who was among the crowd, said that the Israeli forces opened fire when a group of young people tried to break their way to the front. “The occupation forces fired many people in the head and in the back,” he said, adding that he saw four injured people, one of whom was mobilized on the ground.

Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said that he had received 10 bodies from Maraj and five others who were killed near an auxiliary site in southern Gaza run by the Gaza Humanitarian Corporation (GHF), an Israeli -supported American contractor.
GHF said that there are no violent incidents in or near its locations. She said that the new United Nations Road extends near two locations in the south and attracts large crowds of people who are unique to convoys. GHF said that its contractors used pepper spray or warning shots that were launched on only a few occasions to prevent deadly congestion since it opened four locations in May.
“It is the trap of death.”
Al -Wouda Hospital in central Gaza said that he had received the bodies of eight people who were killed near the GHF site in the Israeli Netzarin corridor, which was controlled by the Israeli and that 50 others were injured. Witnesses and health officials said that the Israeli forces were fired towards the crowd.
The image of the Associated Press showed a man with a corpse away from the site, as others transferred food bags.
“It looks like yesterday and the previous day,” said Iman Raqab, a young Palestinian youth who tried without success to reach the site during the past three days. “It is the trap of death.”
The Israeli army said it launched warning bullets at people who approached “in a way that poses a threat to the forces”, without clarification. He said he was not aware of any losses.
The war was ignited when gunmen led by Hamas killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and kidnapped 251 in an attack on October 7, 2023, according to Israeli. They still carry 50 hostages, about 20 of them believed to be alive, after most of the rest has been launched in the ceasefire or other deals.
The revenge military attack of Israel has killed more than 60,900 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which says that the majority of the dead were women and children. Israel opposed the numbers, but it did not provide them.
Talks on the ceasefire in Gaza, and the hostage deal remains suspended, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considers the expansion of military action, and Hamas calls for humanitarian improvements before returning to negotiations.
