“Do not move to Canada, it is one way …”: The Canadian video fears that are based in Bangaluru

For decades, Canada stood as a dream destination for countless Indians looking for a better life, stable income, global level health care, and cleaner cities. From young professionals to families, the temptation of a more “sophisticated” lifestyle pushed under the thousand maple paper to package their bags in search of green pastures. But what if the dream was not what appears?

A virus video by a Canadian citizen now in Bangaluru shakes the ambitious narration with a sharp message: “If you are Indian, do not move to Canada.”

In a joint video on X (previously Twitter) and Instagram, Caleb criticizes the immigration system in Canada as an exploitative and misleading. He argues that Indian immigrants are lured with prosperity, only to find themselves financially, emotionally exhausted, and disappointment within a few years.

It paints a picture before and after the typical Indian immigrants in the framework of Canada’s fast entry program: a 28-year-old child has a good job, savings ranging between 50,000-100,000 dollars, a car, apartment, and satisfactory life. Quickly forward three years in Canada, and according to Kalib, this same person is now renting, in debt, charging multiple functions, and lowering groceries to survive.

“Canada drains your savings and work in your life to fill its economic gaps,” as he claims. “It is a ticket in one direction, and the cost is not only financial-it’s peace of mind, energy and years that you will not return to.”

The migration model in Canada is similar to the “real estate pyramid and action plan” in positive brands. “People say,” I move to a cheaper town. “But this is not what Canada announces.

The video sparked a hot online discussion. Some users have agreed to a crop perspective, noting that migration often includes major differentials unless a person is very rich. They have highlighted issues such as unbearable health care, weakness, and lack of local support networks.

Others retreated, on the pretext that the challenges of India-high taxes, weak public infrastructure, and bureaucratic obstacles-make the transition to Canada deserve the struggle, especially for young professionals looking for long-term gains.

However, Calib’s video has hit a tendon with many of those who say it reflects an increasing fact: that the Canadian dream has no longer corresponds to the expectations that he promised once.
