A middle -level analysis professional in a multinational company faces difficulties in obtaining work approval from home due to the family emergency that involves police intervention. The employee said at the Reddit publication that he was with the company for more than three years and says that although the company’s policies are generally generous, its specified team imposes tougher rules.
The team allows only 27 papers per year including public leave, requires three days in the office every week, and delegates at least 100 hours or 12 days in the office every month, despite the hybrid policy at the company level from two days of the office per week and 45 paid papers in addition to 12 public holidays.
“The company provides 45 paid papers + 12 general malfunctions. The mixed work structure with two days in the office. But my team (about 120 people working in one customer) has their own set of things: only 27 papers per year (including public holidays), and WFO for 3 days a week.
In the post, the employee described his dilemma, “Should I tell the reason? I think it is personal. Given that he did not come out of where, how is it assumed that I already compensate for the days when I work from home?” They also noticed that their site manager supports work from a distance, but the director responsible for the approvals has resisted.
Draw the theme of Reddit is a mixture of tips.
One of the commentators suggested following an official approach, “an episode in your human resources, add the official police report (you can revise anything from anything personal), be accurate to the time you need to work from home, share the fine details that he wants, then add the company’s policy that states that you can work from home.
“I always prefer a conversation personally or when calling first,” a user discharged.
Another user warned against excessive reliance on artificial intelligence: “Yes, exactly, sending an email created by Chat GPT is definitely the way to go in this case. OP must speak to their manager.”
Another user wrote: “Your request is very official and it looks new outside ChatGPT. Although there is nothing wrong with it … the best practices are” speaking first, and later email “(60 % of the time, it works every time).”
