Disney not only destroyed Ares, they turned Tron into a series of fart sounds and destroyed her forever

Disney never knew what to do with Tron, but now they don’t have to. Tron: Ares It’s a franchise killer, and it’s a movie so bad that no one will ever want anything from Tron again.

before AresIf Tron was anything, it was Phoebe. A unique aesthetic collection of some of the most interesting and exciting music. Ares It looks like a boring pile of nothing on the screen, and the Nine Inch Nails soundtrack sounds like it’s made up entirely of electronic fart sounds played in different tones.

Led by one of the worst actresses ever to lead a major film, her appointment is one of the greatest mysteries of the universe. She brings nothing to the table. Her name is Greta Lee, and before that Areswas never the leader in anything good. She still hasn’t done it.

There is a reason Ares The trailers tried to pretend that Jared Leto was the main hero of the film. Every moment Greta’s Eve is on screen, more life is extracted from the audience.

It might have been better if the movie had a script, but that’s not the case. Instead, the plot is a series of general corporate policy points mixed with some trivia and some hand-waving about technology. None of it means anything.

There are other characters in the movie. There’s her Mexican boyfriend Seth (Arturo Castro), whose only personality is that he loves burritos. There’s also her Indian assistant, Ajay (Hasan Minhaj), who, like our hero, has no personality.

I make a point to describe these characters by their races because that’s the insulting and racist way the movie uses them. They are props for experimental masculine diversity and nothing more. He’s despicable.

The other major player is Jared Leto as Ares. It’s the most interesting thing in the movie, which is like saying the taste is the most interesting thing about the dough. Leto stands up, looks pretty, and convincingly delivers terrible dialogue about nothing.

appearance Tron: Ares It is divided into two halves. There’s the real world, which is a generic base city and an office building with some cubicles. It’s so nicely shot that when the light cycles leave the game’s grid and appear in the real world, a moment that should be exciting, it suddenly seems stupid and boring.

The other half is the computer world, which, in this movie, is limited to some mysterious black and red vomit in the distance and a single red room in which Jared Leto stands, while a floating head screams at him. There is one action scene in Computer World, but it involves a motorcycle chase down a river, which is basically the last thing you want to see in Computer World, especially when it looks like it was filmed in front of a blue-screen remnant from the ’90s.

The only visually interesting scenes in the entire film occur when Ares briefly enters the 1980s version of Tron’s computer universe. It looks exactly like it did in the original movie, compared to the garbage that is everything else in it Tron: Ares It’s beautiful and a welcome respite from the movie-by-movie look of everything else.

In 1982, I stood in the back of my father’s pickup truck and peered over the top of the cab to look at the screen behind us. My family was there to watch snow whitebut on that second screen across the darkness of the parking lot in rural Texas, it was You see.

I was amazed. When I was five years old, it was the first movie I saw on the big screen, and it made me fall in love with movies. Eventually, I turned my love of movies into this career, so I owe that to some extent You see My whole life.

Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner, two of the most charismatic and interesting actors of their time, give it their all despite not always understanding the plot.
