Immigrants who fall under TPS cannot be deported due to their legal status and are able to work in the United States, according to the Article of the National Security Ministry Website.

“The environmental situation in Haiti has improved enough that it is safe for the Haiti citizens to return to their homes,” said Haiti’s Ministry of Internal Security spokesman. “We encourage these individuals to take advantage of the administration resources to return to Haiti, which can be arranged through the CBP Home application. Haiti citizens may follow the legal status through other immigration entitlements requests, if qualified.”
