“Everyone wants to be a dog, so you have to do some dog work,” Anzalone wrote alongside a photo of his stitched left arm.
Anzalone broke his left forearm after colliding with his teammate Bryan branchHelmet at the Lions’ Nov. 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to Detroit Free PressAnzalone has a metal plate under the scar on his forearm. Anzalone underwent surgery a week after his injury.
He returned to the lineup on Sunday, six weeks after surgery, to help the Lions defeat the Vikings 31-9 and earn the top seed in the NFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs. They also clinched the NFC North division for the second straight season.

“Anytime you get hurt or deal with adversity, it’s an opportunity to grow mentally,” Anzalone told reporters after the game. “I feel like I’ve grown in different ways. The game has been taken away from you, and when you come back, it’s a blessing to play again.”
After missing the Lions’ previous six games, Anzalone said the win over the Vikings was a “statement.” Detroit coach Dan Campbell He praised his returning full-back for the shock his presence brought to the team.
Campbell, 48, told reporters: “His return was tremendous.” “Look, I’ve said it before, he’s really a defensive midfielder. There’s a lot of confidence he brings, a lot of energy. He can calm the storms. I thought it would take a minute for him to get back to work, and it didn’t take long at all. “He is back to how he was before his injury.”

The couple, who married in June 2019, have two children: a son Cooper3, and his daughter Carter14 months.
After their first-round bye, Anzalone and the Lions will return to action during the NFL playoffs, which kick off on Saturday, Jan. 18, as Detroit attempts to win its first Super Bowl championship in franchise history.
