Delhi tells HC Amazon, Flipkart to remove products that violate accreditation, JIO brands

The Delhi Supreme Court has issued a directive to the Amazon and Flipkart e -commerce giants to delete products that violate the brands “Relnce” and “JIO”. This matter, which was approved by Judge Surab Pandraji on July 10, restricts the sellers to use these brands without permission, according to Bar and Council. This step comes after lifting the Rellence Industries Limited (RIL) on the pretext that many sellers were violating their brands on online platforms.

The dynamic judge of Panerry justice aims to reduce the unauthorized use of Reliace brands, which claims to mislead consumers to believe that these products arise from the company. The court realized that this distortion could lead to the risk of consumer safety due to confusion about the origin of the products. The court stressed the importance of protecting names and commercial slogans, especially on the Internet, as consumers depend heavily on these identifiers.
