During a recent interview with DirectDavid Dastmalchian has revealed his interest in playing Morbius or Marvel’s Dracula, if Marvel doesn’t need his supporting character in the first two Ant-Man films, Veb.
I’ve always wanted to take on Morbius, the living vampire. I would love to have the opportunity to play Dr. Michael Morbius. Oh, my God. There are a lot of great characters in the MCU, and I’ve always been a fan of horror and the weirder characters. It would be fun for me to play with anyone from the West Coast Avengers. I love the idea of a Marvel version of Dracula, which I’ve always loved. I thought any of the monster stuff, like Midnight Suns, the stuff that was part of the old Defenders, would be great.
However, the actor explains that the Veb could still serve a purpose in the future Fantastic Four stories.
I tell you what, I think it doesn’t make sense for the Fantastic Four to be wandering around all these different universes within galaxies and all these different realities and all these different beings and creatures from other places. They need Veb to help explain all the language barriers. So, I’ll make the call now. Marvel, if you’re listening, I think Veb needs to come in and be part of the “Fantastic Five.” And Kurt can fix all the computers in Avengers HQ. So, it has to happen.
