David Beckham sits with Tania Brayer from CNBC at the World Economic Forum 2025.
David Beckham has opened about “simple values” his parents’ knowledge that he moved to his children, in a conversation with the CNBC Tania Brayer host at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Former WEF football star attended for the first time to receive the Crystal Charity Award, for his work that protects vulnerable children as ambassador of sportsworthiness in UNICEF since 2005.
Prayer Beckham asked about the place where his passion for making the difference and the values that his parents taught.
Beckham said: “I think they were instilled in the right values, which are the simple values to treat everyone as they are and show respect for people and I tried to do the same with my children,” Beckham said.
The 49 -year -old said that the youngest, Harper, was 13 years old, and the oldest, Brooklyn, was twenty -five years old.
“My children all know that they allowed a woman to walk across the door before they do so. They stand when the lady of the table leaves, shake hands with the hands, and contact the eye. You know all these values, satisfy them, thank them.
Beckham added: “All my children said and thank you for two or three years. So the simple values in which I and Victoria grew up and that we tried to instill our children,” Beckham added.
He said that having children inspired his work with children all over the world. Beckham has traveled widely to raise awareness UNICEF worked with children. He visited the Cambodia to meet children who were victims of violence and assault, and South Africa to meet families living with HIV, AIDS, and the Philippines, where he met children who were affected by Hayan’s hurricanes.
“I have taken a few of my children on different trips. They know exactly the work I do for UNICEF. They all want to participate in the UNICEF work that I do. They all want to help in different ways and various charities.
“I still show them pictures on the pictures when I return home from these trips, and this gives them a feeling in reality, what is happening in the world, and I think this is very important.”
In the award ceremony, Beckham also stressed that “girls hinder” poverty, violence and discrimination.
“I want my daughter Harper to have the same opportunities as her brothers, and this is the case for all girls everywhere. Being a girl you should not determine what you can do, where you can go, and who you can become, he said.
