Colombia reissues arrest warrants for rebel leaders amid escalating violence

On Wednesday, Colombia returned arrest warrants for 31 leaders of the National Liberation Army, in response to attacks that killed 80 people and displaced 32,000. The National Liberation Army, a 5,800-member left-wing militia involved in drug trafficking, has exacerbated the country’s security crisis through violence in remote border areas with Venezuela.
