Cirrus Aircraft has introduced a safe return, a self -land system that takes control and lands the plane if the pilot becomes powerless. CNET got an early practical look.

Watch this: Flying Hate: the consumer plane that lands itself

The system, which is part of the new SR22 G7 Plus, is enabled, pressing the button. It allows the plane to speak to monitor air traffic, find the nearest safe airport, land itself and close – all of this on its own.

While the safe return was part of Vision plane Since 2019, Cirrus says it had to reformulate the SR22 G7 Plus. In this version, the plane system not only fly, but completely controls the suffocating. I got the vision of this system at work; Watching the sheep’s arm was moving on its own as if it were a straight thing from Faris RiderLike Kate to seize the wheel.

Cirrus says that the G7 Plus continues the company’s legacy for safety, which includes the umbrella system in the entire air, and is standard on all models, which saved more than 270 lives.

On the technical front, G7 Plus brings features like:

  • Electronic stability protection

  • Decline in emergency situations

  • Air mobility updates

  • A flying screen surface operating with an integrated touch screen

  • Notify the respondents to emergency

  • Voice and visual emergency signals for passengers

Why this matters

SR is a good -sized and beginner -friendly plane, perfect for flying. Like any new skill, flying learning comes with climbing and landing, but with G7 Plus, the “lowest levels” are less likely to end a disaster. One of the prominent features is its ability to discover abnormal aviation patterns and independently control the landing on the plane, even without manual activation of the safe return button. This is a special value when the pilot flies alone and becomes impotent. During our flight, we used a experimental version of the program that successfully achieved the plane, but we did not notify the respondents or communicate with air traffic control. We left from Westemster County Airport and landed at Stewart International Airport.

With approximately 20,000 public and private airports across the United States, wandering at 22 SR22 can be safer and faster than driving.

The price of Cirrus SR22 G7 Plus – the same model that you have has – is 1,236,500 dollars. It is equipped with oxygen, global communication, air conditioning, and a compound fan.

In short, Cirrus G7 Plus can be a glimpse of the future of personal aviation by making advanced safety technology easier.
