CIMA, TFAC renews the Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Accounting Talents in Thailand

The Legal Institute for Administrative Accountants (CIMA) and the Thailand Federation for Accounting Professions (TFAC) renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) for an additional three years.

The partnership aims to increase the development of ready -made talents in the accounting sector.

“The renewal of our agreement with TFAC is a prominent sign of our mission of enhancing the accounting and financing profession in Asia and the Pacific,” said Vice President of Cima Asia Pacific Venkkat Ramanan.

“We look forward to increasing the empowerment of Thai talents with ideas, tools and recognition they need to lead their institutions with confidence in an increasingly complex business environment.”

It was originally signed in 2019, the Memorandum of Understanding allows TFAC members to follow up on CIMA by passing the CGMA professional strategic case exam.

This initiative is designed to raise professional standards within the accounting profession in Thailand.

Candidates who are looking for CIMA also must also fulfill the requirements of practical experience to show their efficiency in the workplace.

The agreement is said to have created new job opportunities for professionals in accounting, financing and business.

It also provided employers in Thailand to reach a broader talent group, which enhances the total quality of the workforce in the region.
