Chrissy Teigen defends Meghan Markle in surprising revelation

In a new interview, Teigen shared how her friendship with Meghan has evolved over the years and why she believes harsh headlines couldn’t be further from the truth. According to her, Meghan is just a strong, powerful woman living her life.

Chrissy Teigen is defending her friend Meghan and giving fans a glimpse into who the Duchess really is, beyond the drama-filled headlines.

During Hello Sunshine’s Shine Away event on October 11, the TV personality opened up: the people About her friendship with the Duchess and her recent appearance in Season 2 of the Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

“I adore her,” Teigen said warmly. “I really adore her. I think she’s so incredibly strong.”

The 39-year-old admitted she’s baffled by how polarizing her friend has become.

“It’s crazy to me how much it appeals to so many different people,” she said. “She’s a really good, kind person who wants what’s best for her friends, her family, and the people around her.”

Teigen explained that Meghan is not trying to convince anyone or shape public opinion.

“People are coming up with all these different things that you can be about or whatever you want,” she shared. “But it’s not that complicated.”

According to Chrissy Teigen, Meghan’s biggest wish is not fame or power, but peace.

The Cravings author told the outlet that the quiet life of a mother is often misunderstood.

“People will always read what they want to read, and they will be very focused on what they want to believe,” Teigen said. “But Meghan just wants happiness and health for her family.”

Teigen admires how Meghan handles the constant criticism that comes with being one of the most watched women in the world.

She added: “I think it’s great that (Meghan) just says: ‘Listen, say what you want.’ “I’m happy, healthy and feeling good.”

Teigen explained that it’s that quiet strength that makes Meghan so inspiring to those who know her personally.

Teigen and Meghan’s friendship actually began long before the royal titles and best-selling cookbooks.

The two first met nearly twenty years ago when they were working as bag models on the hit game show “Deal or No Deal.”

Meghan appeared on the series between 2006 and 2007, while Teigen worked on the pilot and first season in 2005 and 2006.

Their paths crossed again when Teigen joined Megan on an episode of “With Love, Megan,” where they reflected on their beginnings.

At the beginning of the episode, the 44-year-old actress recalled her audition days in Hollywood.

Teigen laughed, saying, “I feel like we have a lot of chapters in our lives and this chapter is really important and really funny. I remember being a backup girl — the understudy!”

The Duchess recalled the fun and chaos backstage, saying: “I remember I came off stage one day and they were open like a Ziploc bag, so we all took off our lashes and put them in there.”

Laughing at the memory, Teigen said: “I was like, ‘Is this for…tomorrow?’” What a time, anyway.
