Chris Iyubank Junior rejected retirement recommendations, including from his father, to take the return match next month with Connor Ben.
EUBANK JR defeated Ben, the son of Chris Iyoubank, the great Nigel Ben, in an exciting movie of 12 rounds in April.
They will oppose on November 15 at Tottenham Hotspur.
EUBANK rejected the idea that he should have retired after the first battle with Ben.
“I have heard that people suggest, 36 years old, achieved a lot, fighting the year, what should he do more? Sky Sports.
“Why do you go through all of this again? Because the truth I do not need it. Because if we are talking about financial stability, I am ready for life. So I do not need to do this anymore.”
But he insisted: “I still feel fresh. I still feel the ability. I still have this hunger and this fire and the desire to reach training every day, to improve myself as a fighter, to perform in front of fans. So retirement is not only in my mentality at the present time. O comrades you will see me for a while.”
Chris Yubank, the father, a legend in British boxing, fixed a crack with his son just before the first battle. An unexpected appearance appeared on the field and accompanied by novice on the corridor.
After the battle, his son also advised to consider retirement.
“He conversated with me and told him,” This is not the right time, the old man. “He has retired at 32, so in his mind he cannot understand how I still do what I do in 36 years. So I get it. But it is not me. He does not feel what I feel in gyms and in these episodes.”
He pointed to his strong end in the first battle, when he was subjected to pressure in the twelfth round.
“Still there. What are the fighters like this for 12 rounds?” He said. “No one throws this amount of punches in the twelfth round, they do not throw this amount of punches in the first round when they have all their energy. So I still have it. I am still able.”
EUBANK JR was transferred to the hospital with dehydration after the first battle. He cited the paragraph of Al -Aya in that battle as a reason for this, although the return match will take place in the same circumstances.
“When you are bound by what you can eat and what you cannot eat after weighing, this affects you on the night of fighting,” he said.
“After your weight, you are supposed to be able to renew yourself as possible. I couldn’t do it. That’s why I felt its effects during the fighting.”
Nevertheless, EUBANK kept that Ben was not the most difficult battle in his career.
“I knew exactly where I was, I knew exactly what I was doing. I was controlling that battle. It was definitely difficult, but punishment, no. It was a battle.”
“I have fought more striking battles. The Battle of George Groups, I fight a heavy man at a height of 20 lbs, could pierce like MULE, and cut it. That was for me a more difficult battle.
“I had the ends, and they called them Doghouse Spars, you are just a spread of as long as possible until someone surrenders. There are no rounds, there are no rest periods, you continue until someone stops. This is difficult.
“I know what I can be able to, I was on those sites before. I don’t know if he has ever.
He feels that he still has a degree of Ben’s settlement.
“The man went and celebrated more than I did. I was falling. This man was celebrating, and he was going to America, and he was in the front row in these events, taking pictures, signing signatures. I was not doing any of that. I thought it was what won.”
“Fake. But, hey, I think as fighters sometimes you should be imaginary. This enables you to reach these heights. You should be a bit crazy.”
