“Change in Work”: The IIT Bombay student’s offer, which has been canceled, reveals the collapse of fermentation technology function

On the same day, his career was scheduled to start his career, Brasad Chur opened an e -mail message to destroy months of preparation and promise. The display of its function – with one cold line: “Because of changing future business requirements.”

Chaure, a mechanical engineering student in the last year in Iit Bombay, had all the reasons for the belief that his future had been secured. In December 2024, he was placed in the role of business analyst during the GPS on campus – the only offer that was allowed to accept it under the institute’s policy. The company sent an official offer, which was collected on the documents, and asked him to sign an advertisement prohibiting dual employment.

Everything referred to the beginning of June 2. But just a few days ago, he was told that joining would be postponed. Then, on June 2 himself, the strike fell. In the TERSE message, the company wrote:

“We are regretted to inform you that due to the change in future business requirements, we will not be able to move forward with the movement.”

No phone call. No alternatives. Just a job that disappeared, not a second chance.

“Other interviews and awareness are temporarily rejected,” Chaure was published on LinkedIn. “After months of confidence, planning and expectation, this sudden change was very frustrated.”

His story is not unique – it is part of the storm that tears universities in India. Between 2021 and 2024, placement rates decreased by 22 of 23 IITS. IIT Delhi witnessed the number of students decreased from 87.69 % to 61 %. Similar strokes IIT schools and others.

The accident stems from the slowdown in global technology, frozen employment in analyzes and consultations, and the lack of coincidence of the painful skills market. Through sectors, companies translate, delay or cancel offers – even those months in making.

Chaure has never been tested specifically the meaning of “change in requirements”. What really means: one e -mail erases its only job, and with it, its safety network.
