Celtic will not face many strict tests of German giants Bayern Munich in the Champions League matches.

The 21st Scottish Champions occupied the league standings, just two points away from eliminating it.

Rodgers depends on his team’s ability to score goals, and pointed to the games he played against Kompany before as a reason that makes Celtic through the victors.

He added: “We can score goals. They are clearly threatened, but these are the closed stages in the Champions League.

“Every team has great quality and I was against some of these teams, so I know how to play.

“Vincent Kompany had played against my team in Swansea, Leicester and Liverpool, so he will know how my teams are working. It will be a great game and I will look forward to it. From my job, I convince the players that we can get a positive result.”
