Catherine, Princess of Wales, said she was relieved to be in recovery on Tuesday after visiting the London hospital where she received cancer treatment, to thank all the doctors and staff there.
Catherine, 43, underwent a course of preventive chemotherapy after major abdominal surgery a year ago revealed an unspecified form of cancer. In September, she confirmed that she had finished chemotherapy.
“It is a relief to now be in remission and remain focused on recovery,” she said in it. Latest statement.
“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, adjusting to a new normal takes time. However, I am looking forward to a fulfilling year. There is a lot to look forward to. Thank you everyone for your continued efforts.” “Supports.”
Her visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in central London, where she underwent months of treatment, was her first solo public engagement since returning to her official duties.
She met patients and staff and talked about the care she received. The trip also saw the announcement that she had become joint patron of a specialist cancer unit with her husband, heir to the throne Prince William.
One patient told that the impact on her family had been “very difficult”.
“I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well over the past year,” she said in a message on Channel X.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has finished her chemotherapy treatment and will gradually return to public life. She shared an update and thoughts on her battle in a rare, polished and positive video with her family.
“A huge thank you to all those who calmly walked alongside William and me as we navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we received throughout my time as a patient was exceptional.”
In previous personal video messages providing updates on her health, Catherine has spoken about how difficult her illness has been for her, William and their three young children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
William described the past year as “brutal” with King Charles also undergoing treatment for cancer. A Buckingham Palace source said his treatment was moving in a positive direction and would continue this year.
