Civic sense and public hygiene in India are under new scrutiny after a video went viral showing Russian content creator Amina Findz scolding children for littering. The clip has already received more than 0.64 million views on Instagram, highlighting concerns about teaching civic responsibility and appropriate public behavior from an early age.

The footage shows Find interacting with a group of children on the street when one of them accidentally threw garbage on the ground. You address this behavior immediately, and tell the child firmly: “What did you do? You dropped it. Pick it up. Put it in the trash.”

After the children refused to comply, she warned them: “It’s not okay. I won’t give you anything. Look at this. It’s your country. You’ll live and grow up in garbage as long as you keep doing this.” Despite her repeated instructions, some children defiantly throw more trash in front of her, while her refusal to give them money increases the tension.

Union Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju shared the video on Instagram and urged action with the caption: “Please raise awareness.” This post quickly attracted attention and sparked a wave of reactions across social media platforms.

Many users expressed their disappointment and concern about the children’s behaviour. One person said: “Sorry you had to go through this. We must work hard to teach them better.”

Another commented: “I’m really sorry on their behalf… It’s really sad to see their behavior.”

Some viewers were embarrassed that visitors had to talk about basic hygiene, with one writing: “It’s so shameful that people from other countries teach us about cleanliness and civic sense (sic).”

Others highlighted the children’s audacity, with one saying: “Wow, these children are still throwing out their rubbish after being told not to. Clearly education works wonders.”
