Living can feel in 2025 as if to live throughout the day before. You know that things are about to separate, but there are limits for what you can do. It seems that we have moved from the films about what was the case in living in the early days of closure and seeing the world stops and often ignored the severity of that (However, no one told Ary Aster). Now we are starting to see films about living during the end of the time and how we can do nothing but continue to dance when they hit the ground bodies.

At least this is the thesis of the darkest movie in 2025, a movie that apparently surrounds the best alive at this moment in history. It also happens to be a film with a sounding music for kicking and a deadly sound design asking those with experience in the theater.

The film is “Sirāt”, the latest movie by the Spanish director born in French, Laxe (“Fire Will Come”, “You E De Are Captains”), who won the jury award at the Cannes Film Festival for the year 2025 (to be fair, Festival known to celebrate the industry of sick filmsIt was chosen as Spain’s entry into the Academy Awards.

On the surface, “Sirāt” is the story of people who attend delirium in the Moroccan Sahara, and a father and son looking for their daughter and their lost sister. But when a large convoy of military vehicles calms down, soldiers begin to take all “European Union citizens” and put them in reservation, “walking” begins to reveal a conflict in the background with higher and increasingly risk risks. The following is a painful film about the family that was found, about the importance of music and personal communications, about fermenting war in the background, around the end of the world, the nails and the most ideal for 2025.

It is the end of the world, as we know it in Cerat

Laxe never fully explains the political or social story of “Sirāt”, and has never painted a picture of what is happening directly outside the screen. All we know we hear from radio stations is that the characters are listening to them several times throughout the film, with talks on civilians collected on the national border, an armed conflict between the two countries, as well as statements from the Secretary -General of NATO, the citizens of the European Union are citizens.

However, for our main character, Lewis (Sergey Lopez, also known as Captain Fascist, hateful of “Ban Maze”And his son Esteban (Bruno Nunez Arjuna), nothing is important like finding their daughter/sister. The proposal of societal collapse is just noise in the background, which they cannot truly stop and think when they join a group of Ravers on their way to Mauritania to another delirium, and we hope that their lost family will be.

It is not that “Sirāt” uses the emergence of World War II (such as radio broadcast reports) as just a flavor of the story, as it is just something unique in the background. Each aspect of the story is not affected not only the current conflict, but through years of struggle. We see this when the group leads through ghost cities, antiquities, and the remains of societies that have been beaten and washed over the years, which are signs of calm times for a long time. Laxe and colliter Santiago Fillol is brilliant A war movie specificallyHowever, a story in which the war is present.

Personalities can ignore everything they want, just write the conflict as something that happens away while they are driving through passes and deserters from the remote mountains, but by the time they realize that they entered a minefield in the middle of the desert, there is no ignorance of their place in the conflict, and they do not escape from the end of the world.

Unforgettable cars

The title card at the beginning of the film explains the meaning of the title, which refers to the legendary Islamic bridge through hell that everyone must walk through heaven on the Day of Resurrection. Likewise, the path to which the characters travel is risky, and any fatal distraction. It may be easy to get out of “Sirāt” and it is believed that it is a movie about embracing life while you can dance on the path of the end of the world, but I don’t think this is what is going on in the mind of Lackey, necessarily. There are elements of it, such as how to make the film definitely that the Desert Raves looks like a vocal atom like hell, and the existing family that is found comfortable.

However, at the moment the characters allow to surrender and try to forget their misery and grief, things go from bad to worse, as “Sirāt” falls one bowel punch after the other. There is no escape, and even during a pivotal scene where the characters rise and an improvised dance in the desert begins, the film does not use any triple images to make us see what they see, and instead they choose to show them as alone and desperate people in a frightening empty world. This is a movie on how to try to ignore the horrors of 2025 does not mean that you can escape from it.

Like another wonderful festival movie this Like a chest gun, “coffee table”, “ “Sirāt” is a terrifying dark movie, but not a movie that you will forget soon.
