Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration events will include performances by carrie underwood, Village people and Lee Greenwood.
Underwood issued a statement on Monday saying she was “honored” to be able to administer Trump’s oath of office on January 20 at the US Capitol.
“I love our country and I am honored to be asked to sing at the inauguration and be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said, according to the Associated Press. “I am honored to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in a spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

The group is scheduled to perform at one of Trump’s inauguration parties and at a rally he will hold in Washington the day before his inauguration.
Village People shared a statement on Facebook on Monday. “We know this won’t make some of you happy to hear it, but we believe music should be performed without regard to politics,” the band said.

They continued: “Our YMCA song is a global anthem that we hope will help unite the country after a turbulent and divided campaign where our favorite candidate lost.” “Therefore, we believe that now is the time to bring the country together with music, which is why VILLAGE PEOPLE will perform at various events as part of the 2025 inauguration of Donald J. Trump.”

The Associated Press reported that opera singer Christopher Macchio, along with Greenwood, is scheduled to perform during Trump’s inauguration celebrations.
