Carlos Alcaraz will renew his opponent with Janek Sirin in the final of the Italian Open Championship on Sunday.
World 1 will lead the sinner in front of the fans of his home against the last man to hit him. The Italian has arrived in the final of his first championship since his return from a three -month ban after a violation of anti -doping.
To create a wonderful clash with Carrez, the sinner recovered to defeat Tommy Paul 1-6, 6-0, 6-3 in the semi-finals, while Alcaraz came to his final in Roma, by beating Lorenzo Moutei 6-3, 7-6 (4).
Alcaraz told Alcaraz Sky Sports.
“He plays a great tennis the first time after those three months. It seems that he hasn’t stopped playing. It’s incredible, frankly. I like him the way he plays here in front of his people.”
On Sunday, the final will celebrate the first meeting between Sinner and Alcaraz since October, when Alcaraz won the China Open Final in a set of third draw. Alcaraz holds an edge of 6-4 in their professional meetings and won three consecutive against its largest competitor.
But the sinner has not lost since that defeat against Alcaraz in Beijing, who is in a 26 -games winning series. He has played his first round since winning his third title in the Grand Slam championship in the Australian Open in January.
“I must raise my level. This is certain,” said the sinner Sky Sports.
“Carlos played some tennis lights as well today, it was very named, and very winds, so it was difficult. I am happy to be here. It is a special occasion for me here in Rome, and I played the final after three months, so it’s amazing.”
The sinner aims to become the first Italian man to raise the Rome Cup since Adriano Poenna in 1976. This tournament is also the last big event in warm up before the French open on May 25.
“I find myself in a final, which is important to me,” Senir said.
“I will enjoy it. I will offer 100 percent of what I have and let’s see what I can do.”
