India’s chosen people held unofficial talks with Schopeman Jill and Ryb Rhabb Pant, but they are still uncompromising about who will succeed Rohit Sharma as a test leader, realizing Sky Sports News.
Sharma retired from the Cricket test earlier in May, leaving the role of the vacant captain before this summer series in England, which begins on June 20.
India is expected to announce its next captain and test team for the England series this week.
Sky Sports News previously reported Gill and Pant are the best candidates for this role, as Jasprit Bumrah chose because he would fight to play a full series of five tests.
