British police confirm that they are investigating KneeCAP video clips

British anti -terrorist investigators will investigate the comments made by the Irish hip -hop group, which was criticized by politicians in the United Kingdom about statements about the Middle East and British policy, police said on Thursday.

The Capital Police Force in London said that the officers concluded that “there are reasons for further investigation into possible crimes associated with both videos.

“The investigation is now taking place by officers from the terrorist leadership in MET and continuing inquiries at this time,” the force said in a statement.

Belfast Trio is famous for satirical songs and the use of symbolism related to the Irish Republic Movement, which seeks to unify Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, with the Republic of Ireland.

KneeCAP was the subject of a hot debate in the British House of Commons this week, as government and legislators criticized their comments and indicated that two members of Parliament have been killed since 2016.

Dave Paris, a spokesman for Prime Minister Kiir Starmer, said on Thursday that it is right to investigate the “deep offensive” comments.

“Political intimidation and abuse have no role in our society,” he said.

In a statement on Instagram, the members of the band’s teams apologized to the families of the Labor Party, Joe Cox, who was killed by a safe right striker in 2016, and the legislator of conservative David Amis, was killed in 2021 by the supporter of the Islamic State.

“We have never intended to harm you,” the group said.

KneeCAP said it “has never supported Hamas or Hezbollah” and accused “personalities” of removing comments from the context “to manufacture ethical hysteria” because of the group’s criticism of Israel’s attacks on the Palestinians in Gaza.

Several vehicles were canceled in KneeCAP as a result of the controversy, and some British legislators called on the organizers of the Glastonbury Festival in June to cancel a plan by the group.

The musicians came to the defense of the rapper.

Several dozens of artists, including British music legend Paul Wheeler, the Screen Scream and Irish Band, have been an open speech criticizing “a clear and concerted attempt and the elimination of Christianization” and “political repression of artistic freedom”.

A massive attack also took place and issued a separate statement.

“The language is important, of course,” the group said. “The elected political murders Joe Cox and David Ames mean that there is no room for clearance or recklessness.”

But the collection continued, “KneeCAP is not the story. Gaza is the story. Gen. genocide is the story, silence, contacts and support of these crimes against humanity by the elected British government is the real story.”

KneeCAP has a tour of North America planned later in the year, with two dates in Toronto and one in Vancouver in October.
