Director Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will soon be back for his first outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now we have a full trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. It’s been a long road for Cox’s hero, who first appeared as part of a series of Marvel shows on Netflix before the cancellation of Daredevil. But Marvel Studios wasn’t about to let a bunch of fan-favorite actors/characters get away, and eventually brought Cox back into the MCU fold with a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and a recurring role in Chaotic legal sitcom “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.”
However, it’s almost time to return to the grittier world of streets from which Cox’s Daredevil first launched, with the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again.” “Marvel’s Echo” set the stage In the latest live-action series, which will see the return of several actors from the Netflix original series “Daredevil,” including Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson. . We’ll also see the return of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in the new series, as well as the resurrection of Bullseye from the Netflix show.
After what /Film’s Jacob Hall described as “dirty and nasty” Footage from “Daredevil: Born Again” shown at D23 in 2024We now have a full trailer for the long-awaited series. It certainly looks as if the gritty world of Netflix’s Daredevil has not been tainted by any sheen of Disney sheen, as the new trailer promises a suitably brutal return for Man Without Fear, directed by Charlie Cox.
Daredevil: Born Again looks every bit as brutal as the original series
Well, Disney is certainly keen to convince us that they can do all the pure violence as good as anyone. The trailer for Daredevil: Born Again shows off some very strange things as it reintroduces us to Charlie Cox’s hero, who appears to be angrier than he was last time around. In fact, anger seems to be a major theme of this new season, with Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, telling Matt Murdock during a dinner date: “It’s hard to come to terms with a violent nature.” Not if you’re Disney, apparently, as the company seems to be coming to terms with Daredevil’s notorious penchant for violence by embracing it wholeheartedly. Throughout this trailer, bones break and blood flows, which should please fans of the Netflix original series who would certainly expect nothing less from the return of Cox’s Man Without Fear.
Elsewhere, the trailer is brimming with excitement for some of the series’ most anticipated new additions, from Hector Ayala / The White Tiger by Camar de los Reyes to The villain, Moses, whose actor has not yet been revealed. We also get glimpses of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher character (who’s clearly dealing with some ongoing anger issues of his own), as well as footage of Matt Murdock hanging out with his friends Karen Page and Franklin “Foggy” Nelson.
Interestingly enough, it appears that in the new series, Murdoch has retired the hero character, telling Fisk that “a line has been crossed.” Meanwhile, Fisk himself is running for mayor of New York City, which understandably arouses Murdoch’s suspicions at best. By the end of the series, we know that the protector of Hell’s Kitchen will be donning his classic costume once again, as the final shots of the trailer show him donning the full Daredevil suit destroying multiple opponents – likely in his quest to stop Fisk’s attack. Rising and dealing with the countless threats revealed throughout the trailer, which also includes the return of Benjamin Poindexter aka Bullseye (Wilson Bethel).
Overall, it seems as if Disney did their best to maintain the feel of the original series, and this trailer heralds a promising return to Hell’s Kitchen.
Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on March 4, 2025 on Disney+.
