Before Sunday’s elections, the campaign advertising boards that adorn the streets of Bolivia offer great promises: a solution to the terrible economic crisis within 100 days, the end of the deficiency, the bread lines, and the unity of a divided nation. One of the deputy candidates for the presidency undertakes to “make Bolivia exciting again” while former President Evo Morales, who is prohibited from running, called on voters to boycott the survey.
