Parents of two university students who died in an online crash last autumn are paid to prosecute Tesla, claiming that the design of the truck door is the victims inside.

To open the rear doors of the truck, the cyclists must lift a mat in the door storage pocket and pull it on a hidden cable under it. Along with Cybertruck stainless steel panels and enhanced armored glass windows, which make rescue operations in particular difficult, these lawsuits argue these design features on a mistake in the death of passengers.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Gizmodo.
Complaints fall as the electrical door handles are already undergoing regulatory scrutiny. Only last month, the National Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened a preliminary investigation into the failed door handles in Y 2021 vehicles after receiving many reports that parents were unable to return to their cars with the children who left inside. This investigation covers approximately 175,000 cars and will evaluate whether the defect poses a serious threat to safety.
Bloomberg’s investigation has found that NHTSA had received more than 140 complaints since 2018 about the doors of Tesla, conquest or failure in another way.
