Mark Koban has always been the most pragmatic billionaire in Tech. As an early internet entrepreneur, a prolific investor in Shark Tank, and the owner of Dallas Martericks, he saw multiple noise courses that come and go. He was an early defender of Crypto’s capabilities, but he remained a sharp critic of his transgressions.
Now, since the twin forces of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies are dominating the conversation, we asked the Cuban to weigh. In these exclusive questions and answers, the reason for his belief explains that artificial intelligence is about to change everything, and why the encryption is still awaiting its big moments, and what seems to the future of work in a world in which technology gives “family packages” ready to learn.
This conversation was gently coordinated for clarity. All quotes appear exactly as the Cuban gave them.
Big image: Amnesty International for encryption
Gizmodo: I have invested in both artificial intelligence and encryption. Which do you think it will have a deeper impact on society, and anyone will provide more value for ordinary people?
Mark KobeAmnesty International. It is not soon.
On artificial intelligence: the real revolution
GizmodoOn artificial intelligence, how do you see that the traditional office changes in the next five years, with artificial intelligence now from dealing with scheduling, responsible, writing texts, and even management tasks?
Mark Kobe: More than anything we saw in technology. I think Amnesty International will give the great powers not only to companies, but any employee is ready to learn how to use it. It may take the latest employee, with some curiosity and effort, makes them accomplished as long -term employees who will not use artificial intelligence.
Gizmodo: What are the types of jobs or roles that you think will completely disappear in the next wave of adopting artificial intelligence, and what will replace them?
Mark Kobe: If your job contains dual tasks, you will not do these tasks anymore. Artificial intelligence will. But if you can be creative and find new ways to use artificial intelligence to improve the productivity of your job and your company, you will always be able to employ.
((Editor’s note: Binary tasks include things such as filling models, processing documents, basic customer service, or data entry functions that follow logic.))
On Crypto: I am still waiting for the state of use
GizmodoDo you think Crypto, especially Bitcoin and Stablecoins, has a “IPHONE”? If not, what is still missing?
Mark Kobe: no. The iPhone app store everyone to use the applications for everything and anything they can. Your grandparents asked how to download Facebook and Instagram to share photos. Have your ancestors asked to help download a wallet?
((Mr. Dr. Note: “Wallet” is an actual program or device that allows users to store and manage their cryptocurrencies. Unlike prevailing applications, they have not been widely adopted by the general public.))
Gizmodo: I have talked in the past that it is more important than the noise in encryption. What is the most promising condition you see now?
Mark KobeFrankly, I have hoped that smart contracts would lead to Ethereum, Polygon and other platforms to applications that will be prevalent now. It is not soon. ((Mr. Dr. Note: Smart contracts are parts of the code that automatically implement transactions. It works on decentralized financing, NFTS, and more.))
There are some like Book.IO for books and textbooks, DCLIMATE Climate Data, and other applications that are still involved. I think this can be influential.
But generally, Crypto had no instagram moment yet.
Gizmodo: Is the United States government progressing or behind the formation of encryption as a financial infrastructure?
Mark KobeI think we are behind us. It is not a matter of digital financial infrastructure, as this is more than allowing the types of transactions that cause users who are not residents to question the stability and legitimacy of encryption.
Mimi currencies are one example. There is no benefit. It is something that can be collected as each transaction is stopped from the drawings and is offered as a gambling, or a game of musical chairs, which does not contain rules.
Another is when the encryption is approaching. Unlike the time of arrows, there is no law knowing that it requires a guarantee in its place. This is why FTX did not collapse in Japan. They have side and cold storage laws. If we have the same thing in this country, Crypto will be more worthy of confidence. Both causes observers who may consider using encryption to question its validity.
((Mr. Dr. Note: After the collapse of the Crypto Exchange FTX in 2022, the Japanese subsidiary was able to make customers complete because Japanese law requires customer assets in separate and fully guaranteed accounts.))
On encryption: the current reality
Gizmodo: Are we in the encryption bubble at the present time, or is this what seems to be a wide range of adoption?
Mark KobeI think BTC has taken all thunder. It is a valuable store, and we do not expect to create interest. Each other series does the same as the rest in one form or another, with some distinction in features, functions and speed. They are only fighting it to close as much use as possible. But the reality is that there are a lot of chains.
GizmodoHow do you see the rise of the Bitcoin Treasury like Microstrategy? Are they early in visions, or are they excessively?
Mark Kobe: It is good as long as you have a long -term horizon. Most companies cannot customize liquid assets for long periods of time. They need money. But if you can look long, this is definitely a strategy worth considering.
((Mr. Dr. Note: Microstrategy is a software company that has turned into Bitcoin, which now has billions of dollars in Bitcoin.))
GizmodoStablecoins is widely used in the real world. Do you think they will become the basic financial bars of the Internet economy, or are there limits?
Mark KobeI think it is in a position to continue growth. If you are dealing in the world in dollars, it is certainly a less expensive and faster option.
((Mr. Dr. Note: Stablecoins such as USDC or USDT are encrypted currencies linked to US dollar. They are used in fast global payments without banks or currency transfers.))
Gizmodo: Are we heading towards a future as corporate bonds routinely carry Bitcoin or Stablecoins, how to carry foreign currencies or bonds today?
Mark Kobe: Yes. definitely. Until you see Jpmorgan using Stablecoins. I think it will be a way to transfer money more effectively. We just need to make sure that we have enough organization that it is not easy to fraud and breakthroughs to have an effect.
