Joe Biden announced that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer questions about the health issues that the former US president deals with while he was in the White House.
In a statement on Sunday, the Biden office said that the 82 -year -old had received the diagnosis on Friday after a doctor saw the urine symptoms.
Some doctors expressed their surprise that the aggressive form of cancer, which spread to its bones, was not previously discovered.
Others have pointed out that cancers can grow quickly without the patient showing symptoms – and that men over 70 years of age are not routinely examined.
President Donald Trump told correspondents on Monday that his predecessor should have been more transparent with the public, and it appears that he – without providing evidence – that the diagnosis of cancer had been covered.
“I think it is really very sad. I am surprised that the audience has not been notified for a long time,” Trump said at an event at the White House.
“It may take years to reach this level of danger. So, see, it is a very sad situation. I feel very much, and I think people should know what happened.”
Biden has not yet responded to Trump’s comments, which came amid reports that Democrat’s assistants have sought to hide other deteriorating health conditions from the public before the 2024 elections.
Republicans claim that Biden, who was nominated for his re -election as the oldest president in history in 81, was mentally inappropriate and physical of the positions. He got out of the race last summer after a catastrophic debate against Trump.
According to Oriental Sin, a new book for Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson journalists, Biden was unable to get to know Hollywood actor and democratic donor George Clooney or remember the names of the main assistants in his last year in his position.
The authors write: “Biden’s physical deterioration – the most clear in his stalled career – has become so severe that there were internal discussions about the president’s position on a wheelchair, but they could not do so until after the elections.”
The propaganda resulting from the writers forced senior Democrats to provide questions about the reason why they were not making more to respond to the Americans’ concerns about Biden’s health during his campaign to re -election.
“It was wrong for Democrats to listen to the voters earlier,” Senator Chris Murphy said on Sunday.
After the news of Biden’s diagnosis, Vice President JD Vance wished well, but then asked whether Biden’s doctors or their employees had sought to prevent the public from knowing the real state of his health.
“This is not a play for children, and we can pray for good health, but we also realize that if you are not in good health enough to do this task, you should not do this task.”
Dr. Ezkeel Emmanuel, an oncologist who worked as the Cofide Consultant for the White House Biden, was among those who claim that Biden may have had cancer for some time, without necessarily knowing it.
“Maybe he had at the beginning of his presidency in 2021. Yes, I don’t think there is any dispute about that,” he told MSNBC.
American medical guidelines do not recommend routine blood tests for men over the age of 70 because prostate cancers can be very slow, and test and treatment may exceed the risk of cancer.
Biden has already been diagnosed with benign expansion of the prostate. In 2019, before his election, his campaign issued the report from his medical presentation, saying that he was treated with medicines and surgery, “and he did not develop prostate cancer.”
This led to questions about whether Biden was tested at any time during his four -year presidency – and why the diagnosis came late.
“I assume that the former president is getting a comprehensive physical year,” Dr. Chris George of the Northern West Health Network told Reuters. “It is difficult for me to believe that he had (blood test) during the past year, which was normal.”
However, Dr. Robert Viglin, the temporary director of Cedars-Sinai, told BBC that the aggressive method provided by Biden cancer was not unusual. Critics warned against “assuming that something has missed something along the way.”
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer for men, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
According to the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), out of every 100 American men, 13 people will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lives, and two or three men will die of it.
