Halifax Panthers raised the wheelchair challenge cup for the first time in seven years after a wonderful offer of eight experiences against Rodens London, where they were defeated 46-24 at the Robin Park Sports Center in Wigan.
Halifax, who was the original winners of the 2015 wheelchair challenge challenge, began a promising and effective start thanks to Rob Hawkins, the World League of World League.
22 of the leopards scored two attempts and seven goals to help at the bottom of the rooster, who were appearing in their first final.

Attention is now turning into the start of the BetFred Wheelchair Super Dear season at the end of next week, including the first matches in the Giants Edinburgh and Sheffield Eagles competition – with an additional incentive for every qualified player in England while they were fighting for places on a tour of Australia this fall.
“We needed it. It has been a long time since we won the challenge cup – we are still challenging, but in sport, you were sentenced to winning the prizes,” said Wayne Burdman, the veteran coach in Halifax, who was one of the original winners of the cup in 2025.
“We have built our strength deeply for a while, and Jack returns from Australia is our last piece in the middle of the field.
“The clean play for the Rods because this was a difficult game, and they showed why they reached the final. But it is good to raise this cup – and I think it’s great for Halifax.”
