Ben Whitaker brought his competition with Liam Cameron to a conclusive end in April, and he has the Olympic silver medal a set of options for his next battle.
The promoter Frank Warren has a list of light weights in his stable, including Willie Heshinson, Luis Edmondson and Azra Taylor. Warren was inciting any of them against Whitaker, but the first name he volunteered was the competitor of former world title Anthony Yardi.
Warren told “Warren” Sky Sports.
“Josh Patsei is there too. It is still there. There are some wonderful battles to be made in this division.”
Callum Simpson, the new European medium weight hero, can be a sudden stress for the heavyweight section if he moves to search for a battle with Whittaker.
George Groes, a former WBA world champion of the medium weight, said, said, Sky Sports: “(Simpson) is preparing to enter a decent name and build the battle of payment for each offer because he got such a follow -up locally inside Parinsley and I think this is expanding from there.
“If he is with Ben Whitaker, who is very famous on the Internet and does huge numbers and he is very commercial, with a local hometown boy who got huge support and an exciting way to fight to watch, this may be a way to enter into a huge battle.”
Although Groves sees the possibility that Simpson moves to a universal level in 168 pounds.
“He coincides with the right and accordingly, and if he can make some improvements, I think he is certainly able to be there and between him,” said Grouvs. “I would like to see him returning to the painting and improvement board in all fields in several ways if it will be tired at the higher level.
“You are talking about his move from his division that chases battles, I don’t like it. If you are average in weight, do your best (there). But it looks huge for weight, or so it looks.
