Before and after the Pacific Palisades wildfires

Fires raging throughout Los Angeles destroyed Palisades Village and Pacific Palisades.

A walking tour video filmed in March last year by lifestyle bloggers Simran and Ishaan shows the lush gardens, villas, luxury shops and sea views that were once a feature of the area.

But ten months later, after the fire had devastated the neighborhood, a Reuters photographer retraced the steps of the walking tour, with footage showing the burned-out shells of buildings, mangled cars and streets covered in ash and debris.
