“You are thinking about the strikers in England in the past and there were some great goals, but it scored more goals for England than Alan Shearer. If he had stayed in the Premier League, he got this record as well.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane will show the man of the match after a double against Chelsea in the Champions League

Harry Kane talks to Sky Sports:

“This is the goal (winning the Champions League). I said yesterday that we have a mountain to climb it. There is a long way from now until that moment.

“Our focus is on the attempt to qualify in the league as much as possible. But in a club like this, I think this is always expecting. People will likely put us the five preferred to win it. We have to deal with that. I feel that we are building something better and we started the season in this way.

“It was a higher performance than the entire team, from start to finish. The density we played there with the ball, without the ball. Everything was high and high today. We are playing against a really good side. I think we deserve to win. The perfect way to start the campaign.”

Kane: I never felt this well

Speaking after the match, Kane was reflected in his performance while also admitting that he was in the best form, physically and mentally, who felt throughout his career.

“It was two nice goals,” Kane said. TNT SPORTS. “The second goal was a good end. Physically and mentally, I am in good condition as I felt at all and showed tonight.

“Certainly (good night). From start to finish I thought we were high. We quickly moved the ball, with pressure on the high density. It was a pleasant night. They had some great players but we deserved to win.

“I think (showed our experience). We moved it and created opportunities – we could have done better with a couple. This team is great.”

Combani: Kane, the product of hard work

Despite his goal in the evening in Allianz Arena holding the main headlines, he was the Kane coach, Vincent Kompany, quickly indicating that the opportunities reach the striker as a result of his work outside the ball for the team.

Speaking at his press conference after the match, Bayern Boss said: “Every time the question comes about Harry, I do not have much to say about all the things that everyone can see. I just saw him from the ball – watch him while working, watch him recover, watch the press.

“The opportunities we create – and therefore the goal in addition to the punishment – he must first pressure it and from there begins his moment.

“The main thing for him is that he gets the chances of the back of it. Perhaps this is the side that I have continued to highlight.

“Because we can talk about qualities and talent, but at the end of the day, it takes a lot of hard work to be in place.”
